Marcos Namba Beccari

Marcos Beccari is an artist, philosopher, and professor at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), where he lectures in the Graphic Design program. He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Education from the University of São Paulo (USP), a Master’s degree in Design, and a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, both from UFPR.

His watercolor paintings gained international recognition through Instagram, celebrated for their technical realism, vibrant color, and expressive fluidity. Influenced by Baroque and Impressionist traditions, his work dialogues with watercolor masters such as Winslow Homer, John Singer Sargent, Anders Zorn, Stephen Scott Young, and Mary White.

Known for bringing spontaneity and movement to figurative watercolor, Beccari is regarded as a key figure in the contemporary renewal of the medium. His work has been widely recognized by art societies and featured in specialized publications across the United States and Europe.
