Luis is a contemporary watercolor artist known for his masterful control of water, allowing transparency and subtlety, hallmarks of the medium, to fully come alive. His work spans snowy landscapes and trees, ethereal floral compositions that seem to float in the air, geometric boats, and semi-abstract still lifes. Regardless of subject, his paintings carry the distinctive imprint of modern watercolor, fresh, expressive, and unmistakably of today.
Luis began his artistic journey working in oil, but upon discovering watercolor, he devoted himself wholeheartedly to the medium. He has studied with some of Spain’s most respected watercolor masters and is a member of the Spanish Association of Watercolorists (AEDA). In addition to his professional practice, he teaches watercolor in art schools and through online courses, sharing both technical skill and artistic sensibility with students worldwide.
