Cao Jun

Cao Jun is an internationally acclaimed contemporary ink and wash artist whose work bridges Eastern philosophy and modern expression. He is the recipient of the Louvre Gold Award (2013) and was the first living artist to be featured in a solo exhibition at the McMullen Art Museum, Boston, titled The Cao Jun Art Exhibition (2018).

In 2019, Cao Jun was nominated as a “Special Overseas Artist” at China’s 13th National Art Exhibition. That same year, his landmark work Once in the Millennium was recognized as one of the finest contemporary ink and wash artworks and sold for USD 10,266,000 at Poly (Pauli) Hong Kong’s Autumn Auction.

His works are included in the teaching curricula of leading art universities across Europe and North America and are held in numerous international museum and private collections worldwide. In 2020, Cao Jun exhibited alongside masters such as Picasso, Matisse, and Yves Klein in the BLUE thematic exhibition at the Nassau County Museum of Art, USA.
