Mastery of Watercolor
Technique & Methodology
Time: on Saturday 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Location: Espacio Tensegrity, in Moncloa–Aravaca
Aros Llanos led an immersive watercolor workshop focused on the beauty and atmosphere of rural Spanish landscapes. Throughout the two-day experience, participants explored perspective, composition, textured watercolor techniques, and the expressive relationship between light, shadow, and color.
The workshop combined demonstrations, guided exercises, and individualized instruction, allowing artists of all skill levels to deepen their understanding of watercolor while developing their own visual interpretation of the landscape. Special attention was given to atmospheric effects such as mist, reflections, and luminosity, as well as the use of loose and energetic brushwork to create expressive and dynamic compositions.
Participants worked on preliminary sketches, studies of light and shadow, and the development of a final landscape painting under the guidance of the instructor. The sessions also emphasized landscape synthesis, textured representation, and compositional balance while encouraging spontaneity and personal expression.
Held at Espacio Tensegrity, the workshop created a welcoming and inspiring environment where artists connected through observation, experimentation, and a shared appreciation for watercolor painting.
